Hmm where to start...

So alot has been going on since I last posted with real news of our family happinings, so I'll catch you up! Jed's parent came down the weekend of the 19th and it had been quite sometime since we have seen them. They were down watching one of our nephews, and they wanted to do something and that weekend was hot so we decided to take a trip to Cabellas. Jed's dad has never been so it was a great outing I think we were their for about 3 to 4 hours!

It's been awhile since I posted, i have things to post but I have lost my computer due to Jed being home and working, he has his own computer but he uses my desk and monitor, so by the end of the day I don't feel like blogging. I promise a good blog soon, I'm on our lap top right now and use my computer to post blogs as I keep picture on that computer. Thier will be a new intresting post soon!

Lacina

This is our dog Lacina. A very active Rhodesian ridge back. She was out side most of the day Wednesday and I went out to play with them and when I went out there I found this...







Our poor dog's whole face was swollen we couldn't even make her right eye open. We think she either got bit, stung or ate something. One of my best friends sister is a Vet tech so I called her and she said give he benadryl and keep an I on her breathing. Saved us tons on a vet bill. By noon yesterday her face was back to normal. She looked so sad, but she acted like nothing happened. Animals are funny.

Rose's Mmmm

I have 3 rose bushes in my front yard and I love when they are blooming! My favorite one's are my peach one's cuz they smells so good!

I have been good about fertilizing them and trying to keep the grass and weeds out of them but about 2 weeks ago I found these pesky critters invading my beautiful rose bushes!

If you can't tell they are Aphids. My first reaction was to go buy lady bugs, but they are no where to be found. So I turned to the Internet the best solution I could find was a soap water mixture. Its working OK but I still have a few here and there. Blah the joys of gardening!

Saturday...

We celebrated my step moms birthday! I told her that I was making her cake. My dad never planed anything so I stepped in. You see she has been in our family for 3 years and the first year I didn't even know it was her birthday and the second I got her an awesome gift from e-bay (best way to get her gifts she is a huge Raggedy Ann & Andy fan). So I set up a last minute party at their house. I thought I would post the picture of the cake I made. The head is a bake and fill cake with strawberry Ice cream in it!

Jimmy!

Last night was the night for the FREE Jimmy Buffett concert celebrating the grand opening of Jimmy's Restaurant MargaritaVille. It was great just Jimmy and his guitar. A wonderful acoustic show.

My dad was unable to come with me so I invited one of my best friends, Colleen. She has been a Buffett fan since she met her husband. We had a great time and since she lives in Wickenburg it has been a long time since just us girls have been able to get together.

After the concert we went to dinner at a great little pizzeria called picazzo's that has glutton free pizza! I love this place and was excited to see that it has expanded to other than just in Scottsdale! I hope that one opens close to us but if not its worth the drive!

All in all I had a great girls night out and was home by 8:30.

Calling all parrot heads!

Many of you may know but my Dad is a HUGE Jimmy Buffett fan which makes me one since I grew up listening to him! He just opened up a new restaurant hear called Margaritaville and he's having a free concert but you had to win the tickets to get them. I got on the website to find out how I could win and signed up on the ones I could do online and forgot about it, (too much stuff going on here to think about stuff like that). As I opened my e-mails today I had one that said congratulations from xtra, I thought it was a junk e-mail and opened to see what it was and if I needed to report it and it said I won two tickets to see Jimmy Buffett! I'm so excited and could use a good pick me up right now. I think I might be going with a friend since Jed will be out of town, plus he's not a big fan any how. Just thought I'd share my exciting news! Have a wonderful day!

Catching up with old friends!

So tonight we went to visit some old friends for dinner. It was so much fun getting to catch up and I wonder why it took me so long to get together with her. Before we moved to El Mirage we did everthing together and I live no farther from her now then when I use to hang out with her before.

So I'm the worst at keeping in touch and LOVE the online websites like MySpace and Facebook because if it wasn't for them I would have never gotten together and its odd I always say I should call so and so and see how they are, and then I procrastonate and put it off I'm so bad about that. So if you read this and know what I mean I love you and want to catch up I'm just bad at it. Call me we'll chat and maybe get together.

And to my friend who I hung out with tonight I had a great time and we need to do it again soon!!!

Life takes a turn

So yesterday Jed came home early and said well I'm the last employee in the Phoenix Office and as of May 1st I'll be a contract worker, which means no steady work flow if they do not have it and no benefits, POW what a kick in the chest, at first I was stunned and then strangely enough I was calm about it not worried to much just kind of stressed about how we'll make it work, I know with out a doubt Jed's office will do anything to keep him from having to get a new job, so I know they will give him as much work as possible, but if there is no work what can you do?

Jed has been wanting to do his own consulting and contract work for some time now, and maybe this is Heavenly Fathers way of pushing him to do what he knows he can do. Jed is an amazing CADD, Graphics's, 3D Rendering guy. I know he taught himself how to do everything and does it with amazing speed and Accuracy that it blows everyone way, I'm not just bragging cuz I love him. He just blows me away with what he can do and teach himself, he does things pepole go to college to learn and he teaches it to himself. I feel very blessed to have him as my husband and am thankful every day what he does for our family.

So with this new development he'll be working from home now and that allows me to go to school sooner than I originally had planed, I'm so excited this is something I've been wanting to do for 7 years. I know we could look at this as a bad thing but Jed and I just keep on thinking of all the great thing that could come out of this.
He gets to spend more time with the kids, he can work when he wants, early in the morning later at night, and can broaden his work to something more than just planning work.

I feel in my heart the everything will be fine and that Heavenly Father has a plan for us and we will be blessed.
I just felt like I had to share this with the people who read my blog if any one does, It also helps me feel better about everything.

So my step mom wanted to order a buch of stuff from Home and Garden Party so she talked me into having a party so I can get free stuff, So I thought I would invite all of you who read my blog who live in Az!
